ProAmpac, a leader in flexible packaging and material science, is set to present its latest advancements in sustainable packaging at FACHPACK 2024, taking place from September 24-26 in Nuremberg, Germany. At stand 5-126, the company will highlight several new products, including the ProActive Recyclable® FibreSculpt, ProActive Intelligence® Moisture Protect MP-1000, and ProActive Recyclable® RP-1050, alongside its RAP Packaging line of fibre-based food-to-go solutions.

Alex Baumgartner, President of ProAmpac’s European division, commented, “We invite attendees to explore ProAmpac’s innovative solutions driving the fibreization of packaging. Our MP-1000 technology transforms moisture control in powdered beverages and nutraceuticals, while our fibre-based food-to-go packaging meets the growing demand for sustainable, high-performance solutions.”

The spotlight will be on several key products:

  • ProActive Recyclable® FibreSculpt: This high-barrier, fibre-based solution is designed for shallow-draw thermoforming tray applications. Comprising over 90% fibre and adhering to OPRL guidelines, FibreSculpt is kerbside recyclable in the UK and Ireland, offering an eco-friendly alternative without compromising product protection.
  • ProActive Intelligence® MP-1000: Utilising Aptar’s CSP Technologies’ 3-Phase Activ-Polymer™ platform, the MP-1000 features advanced moisture-absorbing technology that eliminates the need for traditional desiccant packets. This innovation is particularly useful for package formats where desiccants are impractical, such as stick packs, and is ideal for applications including powdered beverages, nutraceuticals, point-of-care diagnostics, live culture probiotics, and sensitive food products.
  • ProActive Recyclable® RP-1050: Previously launched in North America and now making its debut in Europe, the RP-1050 replaces conventional film overwrap with a kerbside recyclable, fibre-based alternative. This solution is suited for bathroom tissue, paper towels, and feminine care products, offering excellent seal characteristics for high-speed form-fill-seal operations.

In addition, ProAmpac’s RAP Packaging line includes award-winning fibre-based food-to-go options designed to enhance freshness and presentation. The RAP range includes products such as the RAP Sandwich Wedge, HandRap, SoftPack, and RAPTray™, all of which support sustainability through recyclable, fibre-based materials.

ProAmpac’s presence at FACHPACK 2024 underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable packaging solutions that meet the needs of modern consumers and businesses. For more information or to schedule a meeting with ProAmpac at the event, visit their website at ProAmpac.com.
