Tigo Energy, a global leader in intelligent solar and energy software solutions, has announced a significant achievement in its Green Glove program, with solar installers on four continents having enrolled more than 1,000 systems. This milestone reflects the growing success of the program, which has become a vital resource for solar installers, providing comprehensive support throughout the entire process of solar system deployment.

The Green Glove program, introduced by Tigo as part of its Total Quality Solar (TQS) approach, is designed to enhance the quality, safety, and performance of solar installations. By offering tailored support, technical resources, and best practices, the program helps reduce errors, minimise downtime, and improve the overall installer experience. It has proven especially beneficial for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector, where it has supported over 700 installations to date, but the company is now expanding the program to residential solar systems.

Nearly 70% of Green Glove engagements so far have been with the C&I sector, helping manage larger and more complex solar installations. However, Tigo is actively extending the program to residential installers, aiming to further increase its reach and impact in the residential solar market. As of now, the program has engaged in over 300 residential solar installations, with a regional distribution of 47% in the Americas, 31% in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and 19% in Asia-Pacific.

One of the key features of the Green Glove program is its ability to provide personalised, on-site support to installers. Tigo representatives assist with system design reviews before installation, offer real-time support during the installation phase, and conduct thorough system reviews once the installation is complete. This hands-on involvement helps ensure higher-quality installations and provides valuable feedback for ongoing product improvements.

The Green Glove program has been well received by the solar installation community. Andrew Taft, Purchasing and Logistics Director at Exel Solar US, commented, “Tigo’s Green Glove Service showcases their commitment to industry-leading customer service. Their dedicated support helps our installer partners work more efficiently, resulting in more successful projects and satisfied customers.”

Greg Sellers, CEO of Stable Solar, praised the program’s impact on his business, stating, “With Tigo’s Green Glove program, we’ve experienced a new level of collaboration between manufacturer and installer. The flexibility of the Tigo solution, coupled with on-site support, have been instrumental in delivering superior results to solar homeowners.”

The Green Glove service, which supports Tigo’s TS4 Flex MLPE (module level power electronics) as well as the EI Residential Solar Solutions in both the United States and Europe, is now integral to Tigo’s strategy of strengthening relationships within the solar industry. JD Dillon, Chief Marketing & Customer Experience Officer at Tigo, explained that the program is an example of their commitment to Total Quality Solar, saying, “Green Glove is not just helping installers. It is also helping us by strengthening our partnerships and improving our products.”

Tigo’s Green Glove program marks a new era of collaboration between manufacturers and solar installers, with the goal of delivering higher-quality solar systems, improved customer experiences, and contributing to the growth of the global solar industry.
