Rhug Estate, the 12,500-acre organic farm near Corwen in North Wales, is gearing up for the festive season with a series of events and offers aimed at bringing joy to families and food lovers alike.

As part of the run-up to Christmas, the estate is offering a variety of festive meats, including their renowned organic turkeys, which are prized for their flavour and texture. These free-range, award-winning birds are highly sought after, with orders coming in from across the globe, including destinations as far afield as Singapore and Hong Kong. Rhug’s turkeys are so popular that Michelin-starred restaurants include them on their holiday menus, thanks to their superior quality and quicker cooking times compared to conventional turkeys.

In addition to the turkeys, Rhug Estate is offering a range of holiday hampers, including Christmas garnish packs, beef roasting joints, and the “ultimate weekend meat box,” which includes wine, beers, crisps, cheese, and crackers. The estate is also providing a selection of initiatives and incentives for its loyal customers, including loyalty card offers, digital gift cards, and an in-store gift-wrapping service.

The Christmas festivities will kick off with the Estate’s Christmas Fair and Santa’s Grotto, which will take place on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8. Following this, there will be a Rhug Chapel Carol Service and late-night shopping event on Thursday, December 12. Rhug Estate owner Lord Newborough is looking forward to welcoming visitors and is eager to see more artisan stallholders sign up for the fair.

“We’re aiming to create an event that brings everyone together, whether they’re looking for organic produce for their Christmas dinner or just want to join in the seasonal spirit,” Lord Newborough said. “It’s a special time of year here at Rhug, and our team is ready to make sure your Christmas is as enjoyable as possible.”

With growing interest, especially from Black Friday deals, Lord Newborough is anticipating that this could be the busiest Christmas season for the estate. The estate’s organic turkeys, known for their unique qualities, are already in high demand, and customers are encouraged to pre-book their orders to avoid disappointment.

In addition to the festive offers, the Estate has also partnered with regional and national artisan traders for the fair. These partnerships ensure that visitors will find a variety of locally produced goods perfect for the season. Lord Newborough is optimistic that the event will continue to draw crowds from all over, enhancing the festive atmosphere at Rhug Estate.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Rhug Estate over the coming weeks,” he said. “It’s all systems go for the holiday season, and we’re looking forward to creating unforgettable experiences for our visitors.”
