Midea, a leading name in electro domestic and smart appliances, demonstrated its commitment to sustainability at Chillventa 2024, held from 8 to 10 October. With a booth themed “Green Vision Blue Future,” the company highlighted its advancements in low-carbon and energy-efficient technologies, aiming to push forward sustainable energy initiatives in the industry.

A focal point of the exhibition was Midea’s award-winning CirQHP Indoor Hybrid, an innovative indoor hybrid heat pump solution that garnered significant attention from industry professionals. This compact system addresses the common limitations of outdoor unit installations in the European market, such as noise concerns, space constraints, and strict building regulations. The hybrid design allows users to transition towards more environmentally friendly heat pump technologies with lower initial investment costs. By integrating with existing home boilers, the CirQHP Indoor Hybrid optimizes energy consumption, offering increased efficiency and economic benefits while ensuring stable heating even in extremely low temperatures.

Midea also introduced the CirQHP Multi-Hybrid solution, which combines a multi-split heat pump system. This marks a significant advancement in hybrid technology by integrating heating and cooling systems, ensuring stable heating during winter and comfortable cooling in summer.

Additionally, Midea unveiled the VETLE, a high-performance heating unit designed to operate efficiently at temperatures as low as -40°C. Targeted at the high-end market segment in Northern Europe, this unit achieves an impressive A+++ energy efficiency rating, promising optimal heating performance for consumers.

Another highlight was the AI-powered air conditioner, Solstice, which features Midea’s proprietary ECOMASTER technology. This product represents a significant leap forward in inverter control, providing over 30% additional energy savings without compromising comfort. During the event, Midea showcased Solstice’s enhanced installation and maintenance features, including a unique pull-down structure that allows for easier installation with just one screw. The updated fan motor and PCB design streamline the replacement process, further improving user experience.

Midea’s All-In-One Smart Energy Management System, MHELIOS, also attracted considerable attention. This system features a VDE-2510 certified energy storage battery and offers comprehensive management of appliances and HVAC systems. MHELIOS AI optimizes energy distribution by considering weather forecasts and household energy usage, predicting consumption accurately and creating optimal charging and discharging strategies based on dynamic tariffs. All features are seamlessly integrated into the Midea SmartHome App, providing users with a single interface for intelligent HVAC control and virtual power plant integration.

At Chillventa 2024, Midea received two prestigious awards from Euromonitor International, recognising it as the world’s number one provider of R290 air conditioners and residential inverter air conditioners for the second consecutive year. Attendees had the opportunity to explore Midea’s full range of R290 products, including integrated units, split systems, and heat pump water heaters, all utilising the eco-friendly R290 refrigerant.

Additionally, the exhibition featured the highly acclaimed PortaSplit portable air conditioner, endorsed by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. Praised for its versatility, powerful performance, and ultra-quiet operation, PortaSplit has gained significant acclaim among local users and channel partners alike, making a memorable impact at the event.
