Luxury silk brand LILYSILK is celebrating its 14th anniversary this August by strengthening its dedication to social responsibility and sustainability. In conjunction with its Brand Month, the company has announced two significant new partnerships with the World Woman Foundation, and I Support the Girls, while also reaffirming its ongoing collaborations with established partners such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation®, Baby2Baby, and One Tree Planted.

The announcement comes as LILYSILK joins in the celebration of National Nonprofit Day on August 17, a day dedicated to recognising the vital role that nonprofits play in addressing social issues, promoting justice, and providing essential services to those in need. This year, LILYSILK’s contributions underscore its commitment to these values, highlighting the brand’s dedication to creating a more equitable and compassionate world.

One of the key new partnerships is with the World Woman Foundation, where LILYSILK has been named the sustainable fashion partner. This collaboration is focused on empowering women across North America and Europe by promoting leadership and sustainability through the use of eco-friendly silk products. Rupa Dash, CEO of the World Woman Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with LILYSILK, a brand that shares our commitment to sustainability and women’s empowerment. This partnership is a significant step towards creating a more sustainable future while uplifting women worldwide.”

In addition to this partnership, LILYSILK has also joined forces with I Support The Girls (ISTG), a nonprofit that collects and distributes essential items, including bras, to women experiencing homelessness and other forms of distress. LILYSILK has donated over US$8,000 worth of bras to ISTG, a contribution that will support hundreds of women in need. Dana Marlowe, founder and Executive Director of ISTG, expressed her gratitude for the support, saying, “LILYSILK’s generous donation enables us to support hundreds of individuals in need, fostering dignity and confidence.”

LILYSILK’s commitment to social responsibility is further demonstrated by its continued support for long-term partners. Since 2022, the brand has been a consistent supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation®, donating over US$5,000 and US$43,000 worth of eye masks to assist women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

The company’s charitable efforts also extend to supporting Baby2Baby, an organisation that provides essential items such as nappies to families in need. In a special initiative for Mother’s Day this year, LILYSILK helped Baby2Baby distribute 250,000 nappies to mothers and their babies, showcasing its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

LILYSILK’s dedication to environmental sustainability is evident through its partnership with One Tree Planted, a reforestation organisation. In 2023, LILYSILK contributed to the planting of 35,000 trees in Brazil and Mexico, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
