Hypertec Cloud has announced a strategic partnership with Potentia, a large-scale provider of sustainable data centre solutions, to expand its AI cloud capabilities across North America. The collaboration is aimed at meeting the growing demands of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) applications by combining cutting-edge infrastructure with a focus on sustainability.

The partnership will see Hypertec Cloud utilise over 480MW of power from Potentia’s data centre locations, designed specifically to support intensive AI workloads. These facilities will enable Hypertec Cloud to deliver infrastructure capable of managing AI pre-training, training, and inference workloads while minimising environmental impact.

Jonathan Ahdoot, President of Hypertec Cloud, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Potentia to support the next phase of our AI Cloud expansion. This partnership enables us to provide our clients with a staggering combined data centre capacity of more than 600MW in 2025 at unparalleled deployment times, while delivering superior cluster performance, reliability, and environmental responsibility. Together with Potentia, we’re setting new standards for AI Cloud efficiency and scalability.”

Potentia’s data centres are engineered with sustainability and operational efficiency at their core. They are equipped with advanced energy-efficient cooling technologies, such as direct-to-chip liquid and immersion cooling systems, which result in industry-leading Power Utilisation Effectiveness (PUE) and Power Capacity Effectiveness (PCE) metrics. The centres also repurpose heat waste to power nearby greenhouses and industrial processes, further enhancing their eco-friendly credentials.

The facilities are also designed to complement local power grid operations, providing capabilities for load smoothing and dynamic management of energy demands. Additionally, Potentia offers Reserve Power Requests, allowing tenants to access extra capacity for occasional needs, such as overclocking or carbon mitigation efforts.

Rich McCrea, CEO of Potentia, said: “We’re excited to partner with Hypertec Cloud in delivering AI cloud infrastructure that’s both high-performance and sustainable. Our data centres are built to meet the rigorous demands of AI technology, and this collaboration will enable Hypertec Cloud to support the next generation of AI applications with resilience and efficiency.”

Hypertec Cloud’s ambitious plans to enhance AI cloud capabilities align with its mission to provide environmentally responsible solutions. By leveraging Potentia’s state-of-the-art facilities, the company aims to set a new benchmark for sustainability in AI infrastructure while maintaining the performance required for cutting-edge applications.

The collaboration is expected to play a significant role in the future of AI innovation, providing a scalable, sustainable foundation for large-scale projects across North America. For more information, please visit cloud.hypertec.com and www.potentia.inc.
