Eternity Technologies has announced the acquisition of the production facility of EnerSys India Batteries Private Limited, located in Vijayawada, India. This strategic move is a significant step towards enhancing the company’s presence in India, a key market for sustainable energy solutions and high-performance batteries.

The acquisition aligns with India’s growing demand for environmentally friendly energy solutions, particularly in logistics, power, and energy storage sectors. The country’s logistics industry, in particular, is witnessing rapid growth, fuelled by the expansion of e-commerce, infrastructure development, and increasing global trade. As businesses transition towards electrification in forklift trucks and material handling equipment, the need for advanced battery technology is more crucial than ever.

Eternity Technologies plans to invest heavily in upgrading the Vijayawada facility, transforming it into a state-of-the-art production hub. The facility will see the integration of advanced technologies and adherence to top-tier environmental standards, ensuring the company’s products meet the increasing demand for reliable stationary batteries used in power stations and energy storage solutions.

Mark Stevenson, CEO of Eternity Technologies, commented: “This acquisition is an essential part of our global expansion strategy. By strengthening our presence in India’s rapidly developing market, we are not only supporting the country’s shift towards electrification but also contributing to its sustainability goals. Our investment will boost local production capabilities, allowing us to meet the evolving needs of the logistics and energy sectors with high-quality, safe, and fully recyclable batteries.”

This expansion is part of Eternity Technologies’ broader vision to drive innovation and sustainable practices in the battery industry. By investing in cutting-edge facilities and focusing on environmentally responsible manufacturing, the company aims to support India’s push for green energy solutions, helping to accelerate the transition to cleaner and more efficient energy sources.
