The 136th Canton Fair has commenced in Guangzhou, marking a significant evolution in its New Energy Resources Exhibition Section with the introduction of a hydrogen energy theme for the first time. This new focus aims to address the growing global interest in sustainable energy solutions.

Indian buyer Miha Vig has already identified a promising hydrogen energy bicycle produced by Youon Technology Co., Ltd., expressing enthusiasm for the product’s potential in India’s low-carbon economy. Vig noted that the Indian government is providing subsidies for hydrogen energy products, and he is keen to establish business partnerships in China during the fair.

Youon Technology is at the forefront of the hydrogen energy bicycle industry, utilising innovative low-pressure, solid-state hydrogen storage technology. This advancement enhances sustainability, reduces weight, and improves safety in the production process. Each bicycle is equipped with a hydrogen storage bottle capable of holding 20 grams of hydrogen, allowing for a travel range of 40 to 60 kilometres—ideal for short-distance journeys. Sales Director Hu Han stated, “Our hydrogen products have been praised by many overseas buyers as an excellent green alternative to lithium batteries. We have received potential orders from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, and Ireland.”

Another highlight of the exhibition is the New Energy Vehicles and Smart Mobility section, which continues to attract significant attention due to the rising international demand for green mobility solutions. The GAC Group is showcasing its latest new energy vehicles, including the second-generation AION V, specifically designed for the European market. This model boasts an impressive battery life of up to 650 kilometres and features quick charging capabilities with its 400V+3C technology, compatible with global charging stations. Notably, a 15-minute quick charge can provide enough power for approximately 330 kilometres of travel.

Andreas, a buyer from Spain, commented on the increasing popularity of Chinese new energy vehicles in Europe. “When considering the purchase of new energy vehicles, the price-performance ratio is crucial. Chinese products not only offer affordability but also excel in design, travel range, interior comfort, and overall performance.”

Exhibitors focusing on intelligent telematics have also introduced a range of innovative products and solutions. Jiangsu Honghu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. has presented its advanced telematics unit, the T-BOX, along with the new “Ghost Probe” safety early warning system and unmanned forklift solutions. By leveraging AI image recognition, radar sensing, and other cutting-edge technologies, the “Ghost Probe” can detect roadside situations in advance, significantly reducing the likelihood of accidents.

Gao Xianfeng, a representative from Jiangsu Honghu Electronic Technology, emphasised their commitment to developing automotive electronics, digital transportation, and automated driving solutions at the Canton Fair. “We hope to showcase our latest achievements and inject new vitality into the industry,” he stated.

As the Canton Fair continues, industry experts and buyers alike are eagerly exploring the innovations that could shape the future of sustainable transport and energy solutions. For further details about the Canton Fair, interested parties can visit the official website.
